google workspace costs $3/inbox vs outlook at $0.03 and people are worried that google slightly outperforms it by 15-20% on deliverability.

1 outlook domain gives you 100 inboxes and 800 sends a day for 30 bucks. 2 google domain gives you 10 inboxes and 200 sends for the same 30 bucks. people running all google at scale are lighting money on fire

running all your cold email off google is like putting your whole bankroll on one hand. mix outlook, smtp, google or one policy update wipes your entire pipeline overnight

i have hundreds of thousands of prewarmed inboxes sitting ready to deploy. client signs, inboxes go live same day, instant results while their branded domains are still configuring. while most of you are waiting 2-3 weeks before sending a single email.

two months ago i tested something that would get me banned from every cold email community on the internet. i took 100 of my aged domains and started sending warmup emails to real people. not fake warmup. real sends to real humans pulled from a purchased list of people who opted into receiving marketing communications from third parties. those garbage lists everyone says are worthless. the emails were casual. stuff like "hey just wanted to follow up on the resource you requested" with a link to a free pdf. vague enough to get opens. specific enough to not look like spam. 11% of recipients opened. 3.4% actually replied asking what resource. those reply and engagement signals were real. google saw real humans opening, clicking, and replying to emails from my domains during the warmup phase. not bot-to-bot fake conversations between my own inboxes. when i switched those 100 domains to cold outreach on day 19 instead of the usual 28, reply rates came in at 3.7% on the first campaign. my control group of 100 domains warmed the traditional way hit 2.1%. i ran this for 6 weeks before telling anyone. showed the data to a friend who runs deliverability for a 9 figure saas company. he stared at the spreadsheet for a while and just said "this is technically canned spam compliant and i hate that you found this." the cold email warmup market is a $200m industry built on synthetic signals. real engagement will always outperform simulated engagement because the filters were literally designed to detect simulation.

last week a guy in my dms told me he was about to quit cold email. said he'd been at it 4 weeks, 0 deals closed, burned through 12 domains. i asked him one question. "what does your spf record look like" he goes "what's an spf record" this man had bought 12 domains, set up 36 inboxes, written 14 different email scripts, A/B tested subject lines for weeks, joined 3 paid communities, and never once looked at his dns settings. not once. i told him to send me access. took me about 9 minutes to see the whole picture. no spf. no dkim. dmarc set to none. one of his domains was literally blacklisted on spamhaus and he had no idea because he never checked. his emails weren't getting ignored. they weren't even arriving. fixed his authentication on a tuesday. by thursday he had 6 replies sitting in his inbox from emails he'd sent weeks ago that finally started landing. 4 weeks of "cold email doesn't work" and the entire problem was 3 dns records he could've set up in 11 minutes on day one OR automatically if you had used maildeck. the scripts were fine. the offer was fine. the leads were fine. none of it mattered because he was mailing into a void. people spend hundreds on lead lists and copy templates before spending 0 dollars confirming their emails actually reach an inbox this is the simplest stuff

apollo scraping a url and calling it "lead gen" stopped working 18 months ago. if your data strategy hasn't changed since 2023 you're sending emails to ghosts

your first line matters more than your entire follow-up sequence. tested 14 openers across 23k sends and found one that pulled 4.3% replies. broke it down in the newsletter. link in bio

people sending html emails in 2026 is insane. switched everything to plain text, reply rates jumped from 3% to 11% in two weeks.
