FedEx McDonnell Douglas MD-11F has completed its first flight since the grounding of the aircraft type in November. The test flight from/to Memphis FX9045 lasted over one hour. Last week, FedEx informed flight operations, maintenance, and air safety staff of its intention to progressively bring MD-11s back into commercial service, starting with two planes near the end of May, subject to FAA approval of Boeing's corrective measures.
