@TesDrivenAI @SawyerMerritt @Tesla @grok It's not a bad suggestion. Just have to think it through. If they can find more ways to make money off of FSD, I'm sure they will. I was able to transfer my FSD from my MY to a new MY. Initially, they weren't doing that anymore.

yes im suggesting it be tied to the profile in the app which would also be linked to the same system that identifies ur phone key which is encrypted and unique. so if you have multiple you get FSD for all of ur cars since you can only drive one at a time anyway it doesnt make sense to pay $100 a month for each one. They should then also offer to buy it for the car in case you only have one tesla and want anyone who drives it to get to use FSD, like the current system is.

Some FSD-related options/features I think would be cool if @Tesla offered: 1) Annual FSD subscription: starting at $999/year (price goes up in future as FSD gets better). 2) Short term pass for rental fleets/Turo: When an individual rents a Tesla, they may not want to pay $99 for a full month FSD subscription, especially if they are just renting for a weekend. Tesla could offer short-term FSD passes that last a few days, with the option to extend if needed. Just make sure first time FSD users take a quick tutorial. 3) FSD family plan: If a family/household already owns a Tesla with FSD and purchases a second Tesla, offer FSD on the additional vehicle at a slightly discounted monthly rate. 4) FSD Leaderboards: Tesla has already started gamifying FSD a bit by showing owners their total FSD miles and usage percentage. Take it a step further with global and/or regional leaderboards that rank drivers by total FSD miles. There are definitely people out there who would love the bragging rights of being among the top global FSD users. I'm sure this would result in Tesla getting even more FSD data quicker. 5) FSD subscription for HW3 Tesla owners for $69/month: These owners helped fund and train FSD, yet they currently can’t access the latest and most capable version of the software, but they pay the same price as someone who can. It’s unclear how V14 Lite will compare to the full V14 experience, but until HW3 owners are able to upgrade to AI4, I think offering them a discount on the monthly FSD subscription seems reasonable.

@TesDrivenAI @SawyerMerritt @Tesla I don't think FSD is tied to a person's phone or profile. It's connected to the VIN, isn't it? Or else how do other family members use the same car with FSD. It's not FSD for the driver. It's for the car. @grok can you confirm how it works?

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla FSD should be linked to your profile on your phone so if u rent a Tesla you link it with your account on ur phone and it unlocks FSD. Key is tied to ur phone key so it cant be abused but if you have more than one Tesla you only have to pay one subscription. 👌

It only cost them a $250M fine for false advertising to come up with this idea! I like the idea, however, the revamped Siri will probably be the only assistant that can change things on the device. Unless they work out individuality for each model. This will force people engage and they are not before.

Lawyers are usually the only winners in class action lawsuits like this. The damages for the claimants usually aren't much. It might just be a free month of Apple One or Apple TV, or maybe a few dollars. Usually, it's not even worth the time and effort to file the claim. @grok, what happens to the money set aside in a class action lawsuit that is meant to be paid to the plaintiffs if the class members don't submit claims? Also, what's the historical outcome when the set-aside cash isn't fully used and is returned to the company?

The Electrek article is accurate and corroborated by a same-day Texas Tribune report. Independent lab tests (Eurofins, April 10) on Tesla's refinery wastewater in Robstown, TX, detected trace hexavalent chromium (0.0104 mg/L, just over reporting limit), arsenic (0.0025 mg/L), and elevated lithium. These aren't listed in Tesla's TCEQ discharge permit. Nueces County Drainage District No. 2 issued a cease-and-desist letter demanding a halt pending talks. Tesla says it's reviewing and remains compliant with its state permit (up to 231k gallons/day). Primary sources (lab report, letter) are public via DocumentCloud. Reliable reporting; event is very recent (April 21).

@sairahul1 Copy your code take it to ChatGPT and tell it " Claude wrote the code but it has a bug that I want you to fix" and watch it go above and beyond to fix the bug and criticize very minor mistajes that can be completly ignored.

claude hit my usage limit while fixing a bug. it had just written 200 lines of code. the code had a new bug. I asked it to fix the new bug. limit hit. I refreshed. new conversation. no memory. I pasted the code again. it rewrote the original 200 lines. with the original bug. I have been in this loop for 4 hours. I said make it stop. it said you've reached your limit.

Why are people saying it's expensive to insure a Tesla? I insure a Cybertruck and a Model Y. Two drivers, full coverage with towing and rental for just over $200 a month. People are always shocked when I tell them that. They expected it to be way more. The insurance cost is one of the biggest myths holding people back from buying a Tesla. How much do you pay to insure yours?

Tesla Self-Driving sucks and doesn't work. This compressed video shows 90 minutes of Tesla's V14.2.2.5 moving through the heart of Philadelphia, and back to the suburbs for some errands. As you watch this clip, you'll start to realize that Tesla's goal of autonomy at-scale is very far from here, and probably won't ever actually happen. The entire charade is nonsense. Tesla cars have level 2 ADAS just like SuperCruise and BlueCruise. Yes, your Chevy Silverado does do this. More music by the homie @StainlessOne

I am the VP of Workforce Economics at Oracle. We are worth $420 billion. On Tuesday, we sent 30,000 employees a termination email at 6 AM. Not 9. Not business hours. Six in the morning. They woke up to the word "eliminated." The email came from "Oracle Leadership." Not a manager. Not a name. Oracle Leadership. It said: "We are grateful for your dedication, hard work, and the impact you have made." By the time they read the word "grateful," their access to email, files, and Slack had already been revoked. The gratitude was the last Oracle communication they received. We did not eliminate the roles. We eliminated the salaries. In the same fiscal year, we filed 3,126 H-1B petitions to hire foreign workers. 436 this year alone. The roles are identical. The pay is not. An H-1B software engineer earns $87,000. The domestic median for the same work is $106,000. Eighty-three percent of H-1B workers are classified at entry-level wages for senior positions. The industry calls this a skills gap. It is a pay cut that requires a passport. The visa is tied to the employer. If the worker leaves, they lose their legal right to remain in the country. If they negotiate, they risk the same. If they organize, the sponsor declines to renew. That is retention. Our revenue this quarter is $17.2 billion. Up 22%. Net income up 95%. We have $553 billion in committed future contracts. Up 325%. These are not the numbers of a company that needs to lay anyone off. We took a $2.1 billion restructuring charge. That is the cost of the gratitude. It frees up $8 to $10 billion in annual cash flow. That cash services $156 billion in AI data centers we are building. Starting 2028, OpenAI pays us $82 million per day. Larry Ellison is worth $189 billion. He pledged $51 billion in Oracle shares as collateral for the Stargate AI venture. Announced at the White House. The stock rose 4% on Tuesday. The day of the 6 AM emails. Wall Street did not see 30,000 people. They saw the margin. Amazon laid off 30,000 since October. Filed thousands of H-1B petitions in the same window. This is not one company. This is the operating model. Fire the salary. Keep the role. Fill it with someone whose legal right to remain in the country depends on your continued sponsorship. Pay them less. They will not complain. They cannot. One employee's father worked at Oracle for 20 years. No phone call. No meeting. An email at 6 AM and a locked laptop. The role is still open. The people we fired are free. The people we hired are not.
