@richfaith_ @rutehangwa Reality vs Expectation. The expectation is he carries out his tasks while the reality is that opposing the kind of government he serves in is perilous. I guess that’s why he is being praised, the prevailing situations(reality) make it hard for him to do what he is supposed to.

@hotniqqha @MwebazeGerald4 Could it be ill-supervised private institutions? You know, even at the helm of secondary schools, Kings College Budo will have 200 students and it’s privately founded counterparts will have 5 times the number with 1/4 the space and/or resources.

Makerere University with all its resources selected just 130 students to do medicine. Tell me why a newly created University with no teaching hospital will admit 400 plus.... and have more than one admission in a year. Does that even make sense

Today, I responded to the public notice on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill today. I share the government’s heart for protecting citizens, and as one of those citizens, I also submitted my views to the clerk. I hope all our voices help shape a bill that benefits every citizen.

I have followed Abdul’s repeated calls for help on Twitter, both direct and indirect, and his situation has weighed heavily on me. In my own small way, I have been supporting him privately. However, I believe this moment calls for more than individual, quiet efforts. It calls for a coordinated and collective response. Ugandans on Twitter have consistently demonstrated the power of community, showing up in moments of need with generosity and solidarity. I believe we are capable of doing the same, and even more, in this case. I do not think we should wait until it is too late and then gather to express condolences, when we have the opportunity now to make a meaningful, life-saving difference. @abdussekalala is in urgent need of a liver transplant. This is a critical situation, and one that I believe we can collectively respond to with intention and compassion. I am therefore proposing the establishment of a structured fundraising campaign to support his treatment. At the same time, it is important to acknowledge that public fundraising requires trust and accountability. To uphold the integrity of this effort and give confidence to all those willing to contribute, I propose that the funds be managed by a credible, mutually agreed-upon third party or a small accountability team, rather than the patient himself. This approach not only ensures transparency, but also relieves Abdul of additional pressure during an already difficult time. I respectfully call upon everyone to contribute in whatever way they can and to help amplify this effort. A life is at stake, and together, we have the ability to make a difference. @AAgather @KwikirizaNova @GabrielBuule @SpireJim

@tandeka_mutebi Number of As, on a high level, is a striking statistic but I think it isn’t a good enough method to determine a top school. Despite having its numerous flaws, average points in my opinion gives a better analysis of the two analyses Monitor published.

Wow !! Y’all will keep having your arguments on here about which schools are overrated and which ones aren’t but some of these schools continue to consistently top performance rankings year after year whilst churning out brilliant chaps doing brilliantly across the globe..

I never understand the cynicism that comes with some people’s replies to the joy of those that have graduated. Do you really think a person who studies a degree for 3 or more years is oblivious of the fact that unemployment exists?! What would you rather they do?!
