@NickyThomas1 It's been a challenging two years, if I'm honest, but at least that bothersome lump has been removed and I can actually see out of my eye without feeling like Popeye!

Apparently there were rumours of my expiration recently. Nope, just eye surgery and whilst they did an excellent job I've not been a well person in the recovery. All good now - much to the disappointment of some students today :P

@JamesWilmot74 I believe that's where my sister went. I wasn't good enough for Oxbridge and had to settle for Bristol instead ;)

@harmsy The madness was especially because I was in the left lane at a roundabout, they were in the right lane (with all of the road markings to turn right only) and they hit me from my right. Good times.

@MrKeyseScience Madness, total madness. So far, I’ve only ever been hit when parked. Once in a petrol station (woman drove over my bonnet). Once in the courtesy car (whilst the above was repaired) after I parked it. Cars are crazy, people are crazier!

How we use language is oh so important. ‘Accidents’ are not inevitable… they’re not ‘just one of those things’. They have a cause, there is a reason, and usually the reason is human error, incompetence or worse. Discuss!

@TTRadioOfficial Missed this, but it's now 50/50 time and money. I finished a Masters in Astrophysics last year, whilst teaching full time. I couldn't even consider anything like that this year with the workload. And anything additional is now going to need payment upfront...

Teachers... what's stopping you from wanting to gain extra qualifications whilst teaching?

@ParsonsPhysics No gender identity is going to be a fun one. They'll have to define that so clearly otherwise it'll be unworkable. Oh wait, I used a pronoun and I won't be allowed to because it's part of a gender identity... Darn, there's another few right in there. It's difficult...

Bumped into someone I've not seen for about 5 months and they were absolutely surprised at how grey I've gone in that time. I'm okay with going grey/silver. It's just become clearer that something's precipitated it...
