@LNER Yes i returned to Kings Cross shortly after the train would have departed, checked with lost property, the cleaners, and LNER staff on the day to be advised that it is highly likely the cleaners may have missed it before departing.

Dear @LNER URGENT ASSISTANCE REQUIRED: on Sunday 04.08.24 I mistakenly left my rucksack on the 14.32 service from Newcastle because i was playing musical chairs. This is because the booked 14.16 train booked with a reserved seat was CANCELLED.

@LNER And could you tell me after arriving at the Doncaster depot, is it kept there for maintenance works? Is it thoroughly checked through/cleaned? How long till the train is back in service? Is there anyway of contacting the depot to ascertain some answers?

@MrLofficial Hello, we keep records of where our trains go but I'm not sure where you would find that publically. That service you mention turned into 19:06 to Lincoln. That then would have turned around and went to the Doncaster Depot. ^Charlene

@LNER 4 days later losing my bag and still no insight to the possible whereabouts… you would think a bag left on a train would pose a security alert to track the owner… but there does not seem to be any urgency even on request 🤔

@LNER @LNER Is there a keeping of a train charter record? I am super curious to understand where the Azuma train from Edinburgh arriving at London Kings Cross 18.12 on 04.08.24 went after?

@LNER I have since returned to Kings Cross yesterday 05.08.24 and there is no findings of the item.

@LNER The item was left on the train that arrived at Kings Cross, and within 46 mins realising, returning to Kings Cross i enquired with LNER platform staff and lost property who advised the train had departed back to Edinburgh.

@LNER @lner Any other options? Are we able to contact Craigentinny depot? Newark Northgate station? The very least for peace of mind just want to locate it.
