@LNER my family is stuck in Darlington. They missed the earlier train to York as they’re from os and unfamiliar with the area. Could another train or replacement bus be arranged? If not can they claim hotel costs? We have 2 elderly family members and I’m worried abt the long wait

@LNER Hi, I have a 70 min flex ticket, but when I look at the itinerary, the list of trains I can use is out by an hour, I take it I will still be allowed to travel 70 mins either way based on the time of my ticket and not the list??

@SandraNicholasC We have reported the account, but until X act on the report it will remain on the site. As we have said, be vigilant and never respond to an unverified account.

@LNER Good job daughter recognised it was a scam and didn’t give over passport details as requested. However you now know it’s there and needs removing asap. Before someone is actually scammed.

@LNER Someone purporting to be from LNER has just contacted my daughter offering a refund. They are saying that you use an App called world remit. Uk. This app is asking for passport details. My daughter asked for time to see if this was legit. Can you confirm is correct.

This appears to be a scam , apparently using LNER quick response. Does someone want to respond to me. I will be phoning in the morning and would like the contact number. So what should have been a nice treat for grandson ended the day with attempts to scam in LNER’s name.

@Mjhew_1975 Hello, yes the engineering works are running to schedule, so a full service is expected for tomorrow. If this changes, this will be communicated via our usual channels as soon as we are made aware by our partners at Network Rail. ^Emma

@OliverC75915717 Services are operating as normal between York and the South. Passengers wishing to travel to York and stops to London should disembark at Darlington, board rail replacement to York, to connect to a train service South. For further info / a route map: bit.ly/3W2ZC6n ^Emma

@JillWheater2 While we know some individual services were well used, decisions are based on overall demand patterns, available train paths, and the need to improve punctuality across the full route. 2/2

I should add - direct services. Was there a particular reason? I've only ever seen the trains busy so it seems like a backwards step. For context, we live in Rotherham and daughter started at Durham uni last September. Being easy to get there/back was part of the draw. @LNER

@JC_1973 Major engineering works are usually scheduled during bank holidays because train travel is quieter, allowing upgrades and maintenance to be done with less disruption. This helps keep services running smoothly in the long term.
