So many commentators are stunned that Democrats are clinging to the idea of boys in girls' sports, even though the idea is opposed by 82% of the public, and they are equally stunned that Democrats more broadly make the transgender movement a central component of their policy agenda, despite popular opposition. These commentators are stunned because they do not grasp just how essential this issue is to the core beliefs of the modern Democrat Party. For Democrats, this is a hill worth dying on. I’ll explain. The modern Democrat Party is shaped and controlled by Karl Marx’s concept of historical materialism and its modern version, critical theory. These are the central tenets of being a Democrat. I could write a treatise on both of these concepts, but suffice it to say that beyond concepts like the “class struggle,” both of them are also based on the idea that there is no such thing as “objective truth” and in reality all “truth” is a product and an expression of social and political power—i.e., “truth” changes depending on who holds power. This idea stands in direct opposition to the words of a famous American document: “We hold these truths to be self-evident…” So to a Democrat, there is no such thing as a wholly objective truth, there is only power—power that can and should be expressed in a way contrary to the Declaration of Independence. But wait, it gets worse. Standing athwart critical theory is the concept of natural law. To quote Grok: "Natural law is a philosophical and legal theory that posits the existence of a set of universal, objective moral principles inherent in the nature of the world or human existence, discoverable through reason rather than created by human authority.” What Grok does not say is that to most theorists, God is the creator of natural law. We see natural law in God’s hand in the form of science and immutable principles of action and reaction that govern our daily lives. God created those principles, and they extend beyond the physical world into the world of morality. Thus, the Ten Commandments, for example, represent a set of natural law principles and objective truths: murder is always wrong; adultery is always wrong; blasphemy is always wrong, etc. Democrats HATE natural law, not just because it stands in opposition to Marx and critical theory, but because it speaks to the all-encompassing power of God. And GOD is where this all starts to make sense. What is the most fundamental expression of God’s natural law in the context of humanity? The answer is this: he made us each man or woman, with distinct yet equally valuable traits, characteristics and roles. There is no more fundamental expression of God’s will for humanity than the immutable nature of men and women—it starts with Adam and Eve. So if the idea of two immutable sexes is the central expression of God’s intent for humans, if that idea can be unwound, if individuals can decide that they are not BORN with a sex but instead can decide for themselves what sex they are, humanity is placed over God, the will of the individual trumps the will of God, natural law ceases to be viable, there is no objective truth and THERE IS NO GOD. At the end of the day, the transgender movement is all about denying the existence of God and elevating the irrational will of the individual as the ultimate arbiter of right and wrong. Democrats hate God. They hate God’s laws. Thus, to Democrats, the transgender movement is the very most basic and fundamental way to deny God and remove Him from public life. That’s why the transgender movement is the final hill Democrats are willing to die on, no matter what the cost.
