Waking up the Elephant way ❤️. Natibu was rescued in 2023, when he was just a small baby. He was found submerged and stuck inside a manhole. He arrived at our Kaluku Unit deeply traumatised, especially in any sort of confined space. Even his stable, which most orphans see as a safe space, seemed to give him echoes of the manhole. The Keepers patiently earned his trust, showing him that he was loved and in good hands. Thus, to see him so comfortable inside his bedroom was a triumph indeed.
