It’s unfortunate that #WinningTime has been canceled after two seasons due to low ratings. There’s a narrative today on X (or Twitter… whatever, fuck you) that todays HBO execs (or Max.. whatever, fuck you) would have cancelled #TheWire after Season 2. A reminder- Season 2 was the most watched season of #TheWire, averaging 3.71 million viewers per episode. The rest: Season 1- 3.37 million Season 4- 1.53 million Season 3- 1.49 million Season 5- 0.89 million Source: Nielsen Media Research
