I have a secret to share
After your first $2–$3 million, a paid off home and a good car, there is no difference in quality of life between you and Jeff Bezos. Both of you have limited amount of time on earth; you have twice if not more than Jeff, so you are richer than him. A cheeseburger is a cheeseburger whether a billionaire eats or you do.
Money is nothing but a piece of paper or a number in your app. Real life is outdoors.
Become financially independent; that’s usually 2–3mil. Have good food. Enjoy the relations. Workout. Sleep well. Call your parents. That’s all there is to life. Greed has no end.
Repeat after me: Time is the currency of life. Money is not.
Sooner you figure this out, happier you will be.

@chinogso @MrSam_Tee How about you ask yourself this same question for the initial post you shared ?

I’m willing to die on this hill:
If you can learn the accent, please do cos you really need it. It gives you a competitive advantage, especially if you find yourself in certain industries.
In order to advance or get ahead in this country, you need to be understood. The “huhs” whenever you talk are frustrating. After a few “huhs” they pretend to understand what you are saying and play along. It’s brutal out there chale. Even very successful African Americans I know have mastered the art of code switching.
Learning the accent has nothing to do with an inferiority complex or low self-esteem. it’s mainly about survival. Also, learning the accent does not conclusively mean you have abandoned your culture, values or aren’t proud of your heritage.
What’s cringe is people speaking in the same accent when they talk to their own people here or back home.
Akosua@Iam_aJournalist
President Mahama is begging Ghanaians to stop changing their accent when they travel overseas 😂

@MrSam_Tee And you have had the opportunity to talk to everyone in order to know conclusively that others aren’t adversely affected by this?

@Wizarab10 Nobody forced anyone to play tiki taka. Every coach and team is free to choose their styles of play

Killing creativity is killing football.
They have forced everybody to be doing tiki-taka.

Brazil’s decline as a footballing superpower is a direct result of a decline in their athleticism, btw.

once read about Lee Kuan Yew and all it took to trigger him during his visit to Nigeria was three things
> the security surrounding them was like the country was under siege
> he had a one on one conversation with the then minister of finance, he shock 😭😂
> he said he observed we put people into positions based on tribe, alliance or favoritism instead of using a merit based system.
let me break it down ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Uncle Ruckus@Emarged
If Lee Kuan Yew was greedy and shortsighted like your niggas in Nigeria you won’t be enjoying a sunny Thursday in Singapore.
