If this triggers you as a man, go put on your footie pajamas and binge Emily in Paris. Get a sense of humor, weasels. It’s called a rivalry. They would have done the same in reverse, and I would not have whined.

@AndrewDBailey Probably not. But I thought predictions that they would be near the bottom of the West/NBA or that they would be a team that should depress fans were a bit extreme. As a fan who endured the last 2 years, it was tough to imagine them being way worse than that team.

Phoenix being this much better post-Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Mike Budenholzer is nuts. No one can tell you with a straight face that they expected this dramatic a turnaround led by Devin Booker, Collin Gillespie and Dillon Brooks. Huge credit to them, Jordan Ott and the rest of the Suns.

Interviewing is a skill, and it's rare "improv" interviews or overly-common questions go over well. There also has to be more thought put into what it might be like to be on the receiving end of it all. Not a fan of "interviews" like these. If it can't be better - skip it.

@Mike_Stelzner I've often wondered if they should be called something other than "webinars." I think it triggers negative assumptions. I interviewed a guy awhile back who labeled his "dinner parties" to nix the idea they were going to be sold, and there would be conversation/interaction.

Man, it's REALLY hard to get people to show up for online webinars. And it might be an even bigger challenge getting into people's inboxes. Here's what happened… Last week we soft launched our new software product exclusively to our customers. I came up with what I thought was a great idea. We would invite more than 17,000 customers to a live event. The email objective was to focus on the problem we are solving and hint that we have a solution. We would only offer the software to the few who showed up live. But that strategy became a clear challenge. Getting busy marketers to stop and join me was not going to be easy. We ended up sending more than four different invite emails to customers. In the end, we had 114 people who showed up—including about 14 of our staff. But I knew everything good starts really small. The presentation went VERY well. People were really excited about what we launched. 53% in attendance setup accounts. And of course, we immediately ran into technical issues. We also realized we have an issue getting people to understand how to use the software. So while we had a lot less people show up than I had hoped for, it was precisely what we needed. Now we can focus on the user experience before we open this up to new people. I'm learning that software is a long-game. What are your thoughts on webinars? Are they still a good way to introduce new ideas to prospects? I'd love to hear from you.
