If you talk about deadlift risk to reward ratio, I instantly know you don't know anything about lifting

2026 is the year I undo all the damage “Powerlifting” and Mark Rippetoe did to me No man has harmed more young men than Mark. He turned a whole generation of men into fat unaesthetic >30% bodyfat human pears with huge asses and wide birthing hips He is going to hell

@homegymcoop New invention? It's just a knockoff on the Austin Leg Drive Machine. Those things have been around for decades

This is called the HyperDrive and it’s a new Korean invention for building speed. It’s unique for allowing incremental loading for both the carriage and the lever that gets heavier the further up the track you go.

Me: you understand the idea of “you can’t push on a string” right? Lifter: absolutely Me: and “you can’t tug on a bent rope”? Lifter: Yep Me: so even though the bar is made of steel, not rope, it still has a small amount of bending property that we need to complete before trying to lift the bar off the ground. Lifter: so you’re saying you want me to grip it and rip it?

@CoachAlanBishop The real problem is that you were using outdated data....be more mindful and up to date in the future.

Over the weekend I replied to a former player with what I thought was an obvious joke poking fun at flat earth arguments, and doubled down by what I also thought were very obvious tongue-in-cheek "explanations" referencing Nick Bostrom's simulation theory. It clearly didn’t land that way and was taken out of context. I'll take responsibility for the confusion and be more mindful in the future.

@NobletStrength @Challenger_ST The problem is this form of training still yields positive results. As a former soccer player, I'd go on 10 mile runs 3-4 days a week. Had a great engine, but the amount of overuse injuries I battled thru was insane. The tactic is to convince them there are easier ways to train

@RUGBY_STR_COACH When I first started working football, asked why they high step over the bags, was told so they learned to pick their legs up so they don't get tripped. Cool, why are the linebackers doing it too? Crickets 🤣

@MonteSparkman True. But i see so much cherry pickin by coaches. We'll jump on a video of athlete heaving ugly cleans but applaud another with some hideous BP/BSQ cause reasons. I never seen a FB coach excuse bad technique by saying he's not training NFL players. Why not chase perfection.

@Mr_Coach_R_ I believe there’s an art to coaching technique. Knowing your athletes and knowing where they land on the technique continuum. Athletes aren’t lifters, but need a standard, not the competitive standard. To me, that’s has to be up to the coach.

According to this app: squat depth doesn’t matter, bench technique doesn’t matter, you can’t maximize movement efficiency or you’re a powerlifter. Got it.

@Mr_Coach_R_ What’s the female version of bro, because I’m female! And you do know we are in a horrific math teacher deficit because threats of firing over test scores turned off any aspiring math teach.

To my coach football coach friends- if an English teacher is expected to differentiate for a class where readers are anywhere from 3rd grade level to high school level, and the math teach has to do the same, why can’t the weight lifting teacher do the same in his class? Why do we have to segregate the FB team into their own class?

@educator4ever36 🤣 bro teacher effectiveness is almost entirely based off your relationship with your admin. If they fired off test scores, we'd be in a teacher deficit

@PikecCoHoops @ksalon53 What is your stance on earning additional salary via the boosters as long as you claim it? How much is too much? What about the schools where the parents can’t afford that extra money?

@ckstevenson @kade_mcgee7 The bar puts you more upright, less hinge. Greater knee flexion, however, since back squat still allows the greatest overall load on the musculature, I feel like you can never stray too far from a trad barbell

@Mr_Coach_R_ @kade_mcgee7 Why do you think the SSB is more quad dominant and back squat hip? I hadn't considered that.

Starting to really like the SSB Squat. For all the smarter strength coaches out there: genuine question for discussion and learning. 🧠 Besides total body strength, why would we ever need to barbell back squat if we have access to SSB bars?

😡😡😡 I was decent enough to black out identifying info because this coach could seriously lose his job. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY THERE IS NO FAITH IN EDUCATORS. 😡He is openly supporting illegal activities in public schools.
