NO WAR ON CUBA! 🇨🇺 The Communist Party USA condemns the politically motivated charges brought against Raúl Castro as yet another example of the tyranny and hypocrisy by the United States. Using the facade of “justice” to address the downing of two planes that invaded Cuban airspace in 1996 to harass and intimidate the Cuban people — planes that were warned multiple times to halt and leave — does not fool anyone. This act of a sovereign people defending their airspace is not open to U.S. review. The sole purpose of these charges is to provide an excuse to pursue the decades-old regime change policy against socialist Cuba.  The imperialist strategy of the “Trump Corollary” across the Western Hemisphere seeks to remove from power anyone the U.S. cannot control and take what it wants from any sovereign nation in the region. I understand that some people don't see the cuban government as a threat against the United States, I think that that comes from a lack of knowledge about the cuban subject. While some people don't believe because of their ignorance about this matter, some others just refuse to believe because of an ideological conflict (how can the caribbean communist paradise at only 90 miles from our shores be a threat? If you can not defeat the "enemy" by the use of force, you can weaken it with calculated social attacks and systemic degradation. Of course, this strategy is aimed to increase its effect with the passing of generations. And that is what they have been doing since the 1960s. But not only that, they also have Russian and Chinese hearing centers in cuban soil, only 90 miles away from Florida, and the cuban top leaders possess shell companies operating in the United States, because the thing that every communist loves the most, it is the United States dollar. I am curious how much of the Hispanic vote Marco would get if he’s the nominee. He’d get a majority that’s for sure but I think he can win it historically big. Even him being on the ticket as VP would probably help us hold Hispanics or even gain with them. He’s that loved.

I learned recently Rubio is almost a god in the Latin American world. Everyone knows him there and they worship the man. The things he’s doing as SoS breaking the Castro regime is going to deify him forever. Here he announces sanctions and humanitarian aid through churches with no affiliation to the regime. Raul Castro is 94, and he has spent a majority of those years committing innumerable crimes against the people of Cuba. I've talked with many Cuban Floridians, and what the Cuban people want is clear: regime change, freedom, and a fresh start. My family fled communism when I was 4 years old. I hope Raul Castro rots in jail. Our leaders in Washington must think boldly and clearly about ending this regime while remaining skeptical of U.S. military force, as it has proven unsuccessful in securing American interests and a functioning democracy in the past. Freedom for Cuba demands a real plan, not an open-ended show of force with no clear endgame.

I don't think it's possible to do what you say while at the same time saving money and obtaining the same results. Those boats were in international waters close to South America. The Coast Guard used to get them in waters close to our territory, and even them they missed a lot of the trafficking boats because they don't have the equipment the navy have. Take into account that the whole purpose of the Coast Guard is to protect our waters, not to deploy deep sea for weeks or months, that is the purpose of the navy and that's why they have superior capabilities and budget for water warfare. Blowing those boats is not really that expensive, what it is expensive is to maintain an operational float in the sea for months, but that is what it is needed in order to maintain control of those waters and caught over 90% of the trafficking crossing those routes. And once again, you don't do that to blow "fishing vessels," it is ridiculous

I simply do not understand how we, as a country, tolerate the hypocrisy of indicting Raúl Castro for defending Cuban airspace — while our own government celebrates the extrajudicial assassinations of innocent fishermen sailing across the sea below.

How would you like your tax dollars to be expended? That is actually reasonable thinking because I also care about how my taxes are used. For example, in my case, I'm on board in our government combating drugs in our hemisphere that so much damage has caused, I'm also on board on stopping all this fraud with NGOs, Humanitarian Aid, Woke programs and the crazy amount of fraud that we encounter with daycares and adult care.

They killed those people in international waters without giving them an option to surrender or anything. Brothers to the Rescue was a civilian group conducting humanitarian missions in the 90s, assisting thousands of cuban drafters that were at the mercy of the elements and the sea. Raul Castro authorized to persecute and shoot those planes.
