As much as I praise Mushoku Tensei, I do think the gap between it and Re:Zero is large.
Re:Zero stands clear of the rest of isekai in terms of writing… with the sole exception of Lord of Mysteries, of course.

Finished lotm, gonna give some quick thoughts.
Before I say this I wanna mention I do love the series, BUT, it’s definitely overrated. I went in with people telling me it’s the pinnacle of fiction and the perfect piece of media and it was far from it but that’s okay.

They’ll push this mid series as the next big fantasy anime, and Reddit and MAL will dickride it 24/7.
Manga series aren’t real fantasy; they’re children’s comic books at best.
Real fantasy will always be book series, like Re:Zero and others, not some manga shit.
