This from Jess Phillips’s resignation letter is devastating for the prime minister “Over a year ago I presented solutions, long worked on by brilliant civil servants that would end the ability for children in the UK to take naked images of themselves. 91% of online child sex abuse is self-generated by children groomed, tricked and exploited in to abuse. The technology exists to stop children being able to take naked images of themselves. We could make this possible on every phone and device in the country. We could stop this abuse. It has taken me a year to get you to agree to even threaten to legislate in this space. Not legislate, just threaten. This is the definition of incremental change. Nothing bold about it. The announcement was meant to be in March, I'm still on a promise this will happen in June, I've given up believing it. How many children were left without a safety net in the time we dilly dallied and worried about tech bosses? This is just one example.”

'It's a bit like what is happening in football - everyone hates them if they haven't had immense success within five games.' @Baddiel tells Sky's @cathynewman that 'a normal bloke or woman that is ok to lead the country, is not good enough anymore' in today's culture.

To be plain. If Starmer is forced out the pressure to hold a general election in disastrous circumstances will become intense. It’s always been Farage’s long game. Everyone must start thinking strategically. This is not student or union politics: it’s the future of Labour.
Will Hutton@williamnhutton

Starmer’s incapacities are obvious. However he has a mandate. As soon as he is replaced in however an ‘orderly fashion’ British media bias will become deadly. One rule on lack of mandates for the right: another for the left. The cabinet must plan skilfully; it could get worse.

@LFCjparny @PaulSmithJnr It was grim Paul. He couldn't see the punches coming in & his face was sliced to pieces. These cornermen are as u say vey 'brave'.

@PaulSmithJnr Fine line between brave and reckless and worried they crossed that. Fair play Wardley tho, what a warrior. Dubois was superb and shown bollocks and fight especially after going down early door that I didn’t think he had

I’m gonna sit down and watch it later as I’ll have missed things being ringside. Those fights are hard enough, but when you have a brave corner letting you take heavy shots like that for a few rounds too many, the questions asked of you as a fighter go way beyond that one night.
Connor Larkin@ConnorLarkin92

@PaulSmithJnr Yeah true, hes been in a few battles and took alot of punishment too.

@bigdaddybunce Should have been stopped by doctor & corner. It's not UFC... don't want to see a guys face demolished when he's clearly not capable of winning. DD too strong last night.

@bigdaddybunce It was an uncomfortable watch as Wardley's face got battered. Not much quality from Fabio either... I'd rather not see fights like that too often.

It was a fight that nobody will forget on a night that left 18,212 people drained. Dubois v Wardley was a brutal heavyweight classic. We try to make sense of the fight with the help of Big Stan, Frank Warren and Don Charles. Warning: Not for the squeamish. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0…

Brutal, thrilling, horrible fight. Wardley will never be the same after that. Should have been pulled out. Dubois, wow, let’s never doubt his heart again.

@FrankWarren No, that was not enjoyable to watch. Wardley should have been protected by ref/doctor/corner. Pro's commentating knew it was wrong but at same time had that pillock beside them (Adam what's-his-face) screaming them on.

Unbelievable fight, like something out of a Hollywood film. Fabio taking on the biggest puncher in the division in his first defence, dropping him twice and refusing to give up and showing one of the biggest hearts in the sport. Daniel, now a two time world champion, and made to earn it tonight. Stadium fights next. I told you not to blink

Paulie Malignaggi reveals the cuts from his last bare-knuckle fight led to serious health complications: “They have people in the UK who work in the NHS that, in America, probably wouldn’t even be allowed to work on farm animals, and they let them work on human beings in these hospitals. I was in that hospital all night. My wounds were not cleaned, so basically what I’m getting at is the complications from one of the stitches and the cuts — which is this one right here — have been constantly infected and pussing out, probably up until a few weeks ago."

Very few tickets remaining for Don’t Blink this Saturday at the Coop, the show will be completely sold out come fight night at the UK’s largest indoor arena. Only thing we’re struggling with now is fitting everyone in 😉

Hold on - what? If police officers think someone might be carrying explosives, protocol is to kick them in the head repeatedly like this? Is that actual police protocol? If so, how is it a wise police protocol? Can someone explain the reasoning?
Sky News@SkyNews

.@KamaliMelbourne: 'The video of the Golders Green terror attack arrest shows the officers kicking this individual in the head. Is that appropriate force to use?' Met Police Commissioner: "In most situations it wouldn't be reasonable, but in that situation it was reasonable."
