"The condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria, informed my decision to leave ADC for NDC." Yesterday, I formally joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), alongside my dear brother, Engr. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, with one clear purpose: to continue the struggle for a new Nigeria built on justice, competence, accountability, and compassion for the ordinary Nigerian. As I stated yesterday, this decision was not made out of anger, personal ambition, or convenience. It came after deep reflection on the present condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria from the dangerous path it is currently heading. Over the years, I have remained steadfast in my conviction that politics should never be about individuals, positions, or personal gain. It must be about the people, especially the millions of Nigerians who today can no longer afford necessities, whose businesses are collapsing, whose children are losing hope, and whose future is becoming increasingly uncertain. I left the ADC for the same reason I left the Labour Party: the severe, orchestrated litigation and internal crises deliberately designed to ensure that I, alongside many other notable individuals, do not effectively participate in the electoral process. I sincerely appreciate and remain deeply grateful to the Leadership of ADC for the opportunity to work together in pursuit of a better Nigeria. I am particularly grateful to ADC Chairman Senator David Mark for his exceptional Leadership. I also deeply appreciate my Leader and elder brother YE, Atiku Abubakar, as well as other respected leaders within the party. As we join the NDC, I sincerely appeal to the Nigerian Government against the encouragement of unresolved litigations and the infusion of crises within political parties. Democracy must never become a weapon against the people. A healthy democracy thrives on strong institutions, credible alternatives, and the freedom of citizens to make choices without intimidation, manipulation, or fear. Opposition parties must not be weakened or destroyed, because when democracy loses balance, the people ultimately suffer. Nigeria today is passing through one of the most difficult periods in its history. Poverty is rising. Hunger is widespread. Insecurity continues to threaten lives and livelihoods. Businesses are shutting down daily. Our young people are becoming discouraged, and many citizens have lost faith in the system. At a time like this, leadership must be driven not by propaganda or division, but by competence, capacity, character, and compassion. Our decision to join the NDC is therefore not an abandonment of values, but a continuation of the same mission we have always stood for: building a Nigeria where leadership is about service, where public resources are managed responsibly, where institutions function independently, and where every Nigerian, regardless of tribe, religion, region, or social status, can live with dignity, security, and hope. I remain committed to working with all Nigerians of goodwill across political, ethnic, and religious lines. The task before us is bigger than any individual or political party. It is about the future of our children and the survival of our dear nation. I thank Nigerians, especially our youths and women, for remaining peaceful, resilient, and hopeful despite the enormous challenges confronting the country. I urge you not to lose faith in Nigeria. Nations do not change because people surrender to hopelessness; they change because people continue to believe, continue to sacrifice, and continue to stand for what is right. A new Nigeria is still POssible. -PO

This man is long gone, he thinks everyone who read this are dolts that won't be critical of it. He gathered some Chinese nationals for photo ops and claim they are investors building factories without telling us the kind of goods they will be producing or manufacturing in the purported factories. Gov. Adeleke during his campaign in 2022 claimed he was a US trained security expert, but he lacks the knack to contain the rampaging act of cultism in the state. A video of some cultists threatening supporters of the opposition candidate in the guber polls went viral a few days ago and the governor is yet to dissociate himself from it - we can assume that the governor is emboldening those irritants for his political gains. If you can't manage security across the state, how will sensible investors come into the state to establish a factory? That actually punctured the falsehood you spread through this argle-bargle statement. You have fail in the aspect security, you have failed in human capital development, your gov't takes away job from the people and make their life miserable. What is going on in Osun is state capture and no hyssop can watch away the dirt you splashed on the state's integrity. Trust Osun people to use you as oblation in the next polls.

𝗢𝘀𝘂𝗻 𝗜𝘀 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Yesterday evening, we engage with new investors setting up factories around Ile-Ife, our administration remains firmly committed to transforming Osun into a thriving industrial hub through strong public-private partnerships. Since 2022, we have; simplified and digitised tax systems to eliminate multiple taxation, created a one-stop investment platform for ease of doing business, removed bureaucratic bottlenecks across key ministries and revived long-abandoned Free Trade Zones now attracting local and foreign investors We also pioneered a 45-day timeline for processing Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O). No delays will be tolerated. Investors experiencing challenges can escalate directly to the relevant commissioners or my office. I commend our traditional rulers, including Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and Oba Adesuyi Haastrup, for their unwavering support in attracting investments into our state. Osun is rising and we are building a business-friendly, investor-ready economy that works for all.

At some point, the courts will have to make it clear that it is not an arena for dubious and silly political theatrics. Some of these political litigations are just senseless. Lawyers who are filing senseless cases in our courts should be sanctioned. If INEC receives applications from different groups seeking to be registered as political parties, and decides to register some and ignore others for reasons best known to it, it is left for the aggrieved groups that have been denied registration to seek redress in court against INEC. The Court, based on the evidence and the facts before it, can compel INEC to register more political parties. Suing the political parties that INEC have registered, and asking the court to compel INEC to deregister them, because you felt marginalized, cannot be a sensible legal strategy. Every group has a distinct right to seek registration. You can’t argue that because group “A” was denied registration as a political party, therefore INEC had no constitutional right to register group “B”. As lawyers, we should stop ridiculing our noble profession. We owe a duty to the Court and the cause of justice, not only to partisan clients.

NDC'S LEADERSHIP BASED ON COURT ORDER. Clarification.. Seriake Dickson and a few persons started the journey of registering the NDC in 2017 under the leadership of the former INEC chairman prof M. Yakubu. After successfully registering the party, INEC challenged their use of two fingers in the Air ✌️ (Peace) as their logo. INEC claimed that the NDC's party logo resembles that of the APC's (broom) Note, this claim wasn't made by APC as a political party, neither did APC as a party challenged the NDC over the use of two fingers in the Air. It was solely INEC that raised that concern, and challenged the NDC on their own. INEC now mandated the NDC to change that logo, or it will delegitimize them as a political party. "That INEC will not recognise them as a political party unless they change that logo of two fingers in the Air ✌️ to something else". Mind you, when INEC was doing all of these, the NDC was just a mushroom party without any political presence. NDC as a small party wrote to INEC to clarify the issues concerning their logo, that it has nothing in semblance with that of the APC's logo, which is clearly a broom. Rather than seeing reasons with the NDC over their logo issue, INEC went ahead to enforce her early threat by delegitimizing the NDC. INEC refused to recognise NDC as a political party, or her leadership. NDC as a party felt they were being bullied by INEC over nothing. They were particularly confused over INEC's real interest in their logo, and that of the APC. They wondered why INEC was crying foul over their two fingers in the air logo, when the APC as a party has neither complained nor challenged the logo. Left with no option, the NDC headed to the Federal High Court to challenge INEC over the party's logo, their delegitimizing, and the none recognition of the party's leadership. The case dragged on until 2025 when the Federal High Court gave a clear ruling in favour of the NDC, haven been able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it's logo has no semblance with that of the APC. The court went further to order INEC to recognise NDC as a political party, accept her logo, and recognise her leadership. It was a straight judgement and order. INEC had a window free period to challenged that judgement, if it weren't satisfied with it. But rather than challenge the judgement, INEC now under the new leadership of prof Amupitan recognised NDC as a political party, accepted her logo, and recognized her leadership. It is based on that court judgement and order, you see on INEC's website, the names and positions of NDC leaders boldly written (BY COURT ORDER) Now the sweet part of this judgement/order is that, the only party or interst that can challenge this judgement is INEC. Not APC, not even the Attorney General of the Federation. The only legal interest in that case of NDC vs INEC is INEC. And the goodnews is, the legally approved window free period for INEC to appeal that judgement has elapsed. So INEC can not appeal that judgement again, or vacate that order. Moreover INEC has enforced the judgement of the Federal High Court. So there is no cause for alarm over NDC's leadership being displayed on INEC's website BY COURT ORDER. peace ✌ ✌ ✌ ✌ NDC

“Bye bye to ADC. OK (Obi Kwankwaso) ticket is moving to a new party, no more ADC again. We tried to convince former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the David Mark-led exco to zone the presidential ticket to the South, that’s the best way to go because it is the turn of the South. You can’t give Atiku when it is the South’s turn.” — Isaac Fayose reacts after Mr. Peter Obi resigned from ADC as he prepares to join a new party.

Peter Obi said he must be on the ballot and I didn't understand the capacity of that statement. Last year, he met with Dickson before he created the NDC, and I didn't understand that meeting. Last week, he met GEJ, the political godfather of Dickson and I thought the meeting was unnecessary. I didn't know that Peter Obi was playing a 6-D chess. Planning his exit while fighting for his stay.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

One exciting thing about this man is that almost every PR machinery you see across social media is completely organic. The O.K (Obi/Kwankwaso) tag was coined 100% by his supporters. The jingles and videos making you see all over the place are all created by enthusiastic supporters who believe in his leadership.I’m certain there’s no humongous PR budget funding this. 90% of those pushing for him are doing it from a place of idealism, not money and that’s something no other Nigerian politician can boast of.

Let’s be honest with ourselves. Peter Obi has never been the type to trade insults or descend into the gutter. He doesn’t call names. He doesn’t join issues. He simply shows up every single day, doing the real work of opposition, engaging the government, holding it accountable, and keeping the dream of a better Nigeria alive. For three solid years since the court judgment, while others were still enjoying life somewhere, Obi has been on the move, focused on the goal, not the drama. Yet today, we are watching people who couldn’t deliver their own states in a general election , people with zero national electoral value, speak about Peter Obi and the Obidient movement with shocking condescension. They behave as if opposition is about transactional deals inside party rooms or who won the loudest primary. They forget that real opposition is about character, consistency, and capacity. This kind of arrogance is exactly why many genuine Nigerians are quietly walking away from the so-called “coalition.” You cannot bully, belittle, and talk down to the man millions see as the most decent, focused, and issue-based leader in the opposition space and still expect his supporters to line up behind you. If this condescending attitude continues, Peter Obi may simply do what any man of dignity would do: step back, protect his integrity, and look for a better platform where his vision can be pursued with respect in 2027. Because the Obidient movement did not come this far to be treated as an afterthought or a bargaining chip. Nigeria deserves better than small-minded politics disguised as coalition-building. Let those who truly want change understand this simple truth: You don’t win the future by disrespecting the one leader who has consistently shown us what decency and focus look like. Peter Obi is not desperate. The movement is not desperate. But we are principled. Respect is not negotiable. Dignity is not for sale.

Dear @OlaOlukoyede_, aka Chairman of @officialEFCC, I notice you have been interested lately in students in #Nigerian universities. You're reported to have claimed that over 60% of them are criminals. While we still await the evidence to back up that claim from you, I thought I should let you know about this dude. His name is @OfficialGYBKogi. Remember him? May be I shd refresh your memory just a little. No, dude is not not a student. He ruled Kogi State for 8 years. Many people believe he is still ruling the state. That is also your state, no? So you shd know that he also plundered the state to the tune of multiples of hundreds of billions of dollars possibly. His plunder is present continuous tense. Now he wants to convert it into future interminable tense. When you run the math, all students in Nigeria's universities put together do not control an economy like this kind of guy. But you will avert your gaze from him & prey upon students to deflect from your complicit aversion, and even supine failure. So, Comrade Chairman, let me ask you again: do you know this guy? Under your watch, he will run for @NGRSenate. And you will mount another podium to declaim against Nigerian students, right? Do not say no one told you.
