It would gain full access to the European Single Market, easier trade/investment with 27 countries, student/work mobility across Europe, and a seat at the table shaping EU rules. Canada could keep the Canadian dollar (like Sweden/Denmark), its own military, foreign policy, and legal system.
Joining the EU doesn’t erase independence.
Every member is a fully sovereign country with its own government, flag, and UN seat. It’s a voluntary partnership, not absorption.
