Today was the perfect weather to go fishing… for short vowels! 🎣🔤 Students in class 2 practiced reading words, identifying short vowel sounds, and sorting the fish into their correct vowel aquariums! @Southview_LDSB

RAL isn't just an amazing summer literacy prgm for @LimestoneDSB Ss. It is also an incredible training & learning opportunity for educators & future educators. With over 60 staff being trained this week by a phenomenal leadership team, they will be ready to start next week! 📚✍️

Today we say goodbye to a student Erin and I have had the pleasure of teaching for 3 years 😍 Our entire class is very sad to see her go but wish her well at her new school in a different country. We are so proud of you C! You are bound for great things 💗

Today during shared reading we choral read small sections of a text to learn more about our science topics (gr. 2 animals/gr. 3 plants). We read it 3x for fluency and ensured we were ready for our basic conjunctions writing piece from The Writing Revolution. 🙏TWR project

What reaching UFLI lesson 💯 looked like today 🎉 Using this program (with fidelity) from start to finish with most of the kiddos in the last two years has been amazing. Watching them 🌱 has been such a privilege. On to continued work with morphology and continued practice 🧠
