Our pupils in Y2/3 were very concerned about the wildlife in our school grounds in these colder temperatures. So they set about creating shelters for them to be protected from 🧊 and ❄️. Great collaboration, discussion and reflection about how they would improve their designs.

We had a real treat today. Pupils from year five and six went to sing for residents of Hillview Care Home. The residents joined us in singing and dancing to some of our favourite Christmas songs. We can’t wait to go back and visit in the new year. 🎵 🎄 #PowerOfSong #Community

What a superb day today! 110 pupils attended the @BlackwoodMiners Pantomime and enjoyed every second. They were a credit to our school. Diolch to our parent helpers for joining us. We danced, sang and laughed at the brilliant performance and were inspired for concerts next week!

We love to support our community. Today this wonderful group of young people performed for the @AberbargoedCAT Christmas event. They brought joy, laughter and Christmas spirit through music. Well done ACAT for a wonderful event for our community to enjoy.

It was lovely reflecting on our Young Promoters project and the magical performance by @puppetsoup. Pupils gained confidence and felt proud of their achievements. Diolch @NOutNAllan @Arts_Wales_ for these wonderful opportunities for our community.

Our amazing Friends of Aberbargoed have organised 34 fantastic raffle prizes in the Grand Christmas Raffle this year! Prizes will be drawn at the end of our first concert Monday morning. If you still want to buy tickets please see the school office Monday morning before 10am.
