What a great article! Thank you for sharing, @watsonm_m !! I have so much so say. However, my main takeaway is that: equity matters. Reading matters. We need to give ALL students access to proper opportunities for language and reading development. This is crucial.

Today we had Reena Korde Pagnoni, the author of The Rambee Boo Series, visit via Zoom. It was wonderful for students to hear about her writing process, and to get a sneak peak at the first book due out next week! What a great way to finish off our realistic fiction unit 😊

As for your Praxis, I purchased the online study guide from ETS and I took the test over and over while reading each answer explanation.

Woohoo! A summer of studying and preparing paid off as I just found out that I passed my School Leaders (principal) Praxis 🥳 Huge thank you to @RiderCEHS for preparing me for this certification ☺️

Today my husband defended his thesis & obtained his Ph.D! He immigrated from Poland, taught himself English by studying the dictionary in 3rd grade and he’s the 1st person in his family to get a college education. Anything is possible w/ hard work, resilience & determination!🎓👏🏻
