I lost my grandfather Monday. He spent his life serving others. This teddy is now named Alvin, for him, and will be available to any student (or teacher!) who needs a little comfort. Just like my PawPaw always gave. ❤️ #reaganrays#2ndgrade#AlvintheTeddyBear
Taking a spring break (or at least slow down) from work. Enjoying reading time (that includes audiobooks for me). Over last 2 years, I’ve started to enjoy memoirs. I’m onto “Becoming” right now by @MichelleObama. What are you reading or how are you learning #1LISD?
@misslausclass I’ll come a deliver it to your class as a whole of you want. (It’s a personal favorite of mine) I have this speech down. Erin was telling me about a few who rushed though a CBA and I was like, oh girl we need to be build a good house.
I always told my 4th graders, treat your work/test like your building a house. Don’t rush and forget something just to say your done. I don’t want to live in the first house built,if it’s not built right. I want the best house built! #QualityWork#DontRush#BuildAGoodHouse#1LISD
My brilliant, patient, and 80 year old father-in-law tutors my son in college math class 3 days a week. So many positives about this. FIL keeps his brain exercised and a special bond with his grandson, and son doesn’t fight with parents.😜 Once a teacher always a teacher.
@misslausclass@teachergoals I love to read and my minor was history, so teaching LA and Social Studies for two weeks, while quarantine, is not as bad for me. I definitely got the better end of this deal. 😂
