Well done P5 for running the @ForehillSchool Oxfam Unwrapped Appeal this year. They were so enthusiastic, designed excellent posters and created a marvellous video to encourage donations. As a class they donated a whopping £125 💰 and chose to donate a Fantastic Farm kit @oxfamgb

P4 took part in RSPB @Natures_Voice Big Garden Birdwatch today. Lots of great discussion about habitats 🌳feeding habits🐦. littering 😡 and camouflage 👀 🦅. We managed to be pretty quiet and listen, as well as look, for the birds around @ForehillSchool.

A huge thank you to our visitor from the ambulance service. P4 had a great time learning about the role of a paramedic, the different medical equipment and the ambulance. They even got to try out a few things including the siren 🚨… it was almost as loud as they were!

P4 had a visit from Santa yesterday! Huge thanks to the man in red (and his PV sponsors) ❤️) for the gift. The kids were delighted with the addition to our class library … I think we might need a booking system so everyone gets to read one soon!

Apologies! We were having so much fun with calendars and singing that I forgot to give out tickets for next weeks performances! They’ll be coming home tomorrow. Oh, and remember your PE kit and Christmas jumper tomorrow!

Thank you for having us P6! The P4s really liked seeing you work and picking up some tips for their next outdoor sketching. We loved the range of creative visions, showing different viewpoints for your tree characters.

Today we had a group challenge as part of our Treescapes work. Having spoken about uses of trees last week, and having watched the construction of the willow dome, the groups had a go at building their own. #STEM #outdoorlearning #teamwork #naturebasedsolutions

A fantastic afternoon with our Treescapes team from UoA. The children used natural props to create characters and settings, developed stories and then shared their tales with the whole class. We’ll be storyboarding these in class this week.
