I saved this brilliant read by @thisiskeiraw for the summer hols and it did not disappoint. Crime, nostalgia and a paranormal twist in 1980s Manchester. I cannot wait to ‘go back to the ballroom’ when the next book is released in November! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Private sector with child one: 26 weeks full pay, flex return with offer of flex around core hours and option of overtime A 🧵on why it’s not just the pay that’s a problem in education. We have huge gender inequality at play for female parent teachers:
branwen jeffreys@branwenjeffreys

Teachers get 4 weeks on full pay on maternity leave, followed by 2 at 90% before dropping to half pay. Most supermarkets we looked at offer 26 weeks full pay - except Lidl which has just moved to 28 weeks full pay bbc.com/news/articles/…

Did anyone else’s students mention that they were “cooking” in the literature exam today? I have only heard this just this week!

@Positivteacha Thank you for this. I heard this term for the first time the other day in a lesson with Yr 7. I did some Googling but couldn’t find anything as comprehensive as this. I’ll be sharing it with other members of staff at school. Thank you again!

It was an absolute joy taking 40 Yr10 students to see this at @LeedsPlayhouse. A brilliant production that our students loved. ❤️

A thread of practice P2 Q5 questions, as I think of them. Not promising they'll all be hugely original but hopefully you'll find some ideas. 1/
