In my 29 yrs, the most authentic learning in my class has happened in the absence of grading.
Some of the least authentic learning has happened in the presence of grading.
We only “need grades” because we’ve only used grades.
We don’t need grades for learning.

I want to do an activity on the first day of school with common grade 9 questions (for a math class). I'm having trouble coming up with those questions that always pop up, like, "What do I do if I'm going to be away?" Can you help with a question?

Just going to say it - 32 students in a chemistry class isn’t ideal for learning (or safety).
