APD Attempting to Locate Vulnerable Adult Albany police are attempting to locate 29-year-old Okelly Yhap who was last seen on Sunday, July 9th around 5:30 a.m. on Alexander Street between Clinton and Elizabeth Streets. Okelly is developmentally disabled, deaf and also has a history of depression. She is described as a black female, 5'4" and 120 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white vest and black pants with blue stripes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts are asked to call the Albany Police Detective Division at 518-462-8039. Tips may also be sent to Capital Region Crime Stoppers online by visiting capitalregioncrimestoppers.com or by downloading the free P3 Tips mobile app.

@APDSmith @NYSDEC The bear was sighted in the Melrose neighborhood around 3pm.

UPDATE - Albany police officers safely kept an eye on the bear until it got to this yard. At this time the bear remains in this yard and the situation has been turned over to @NYSDEC police officers who are actively monitoring.

If you’re in Albany, particularly uptown (Melrose, Pine Hills, Campus neighborhoods) please be careful.
