PSA 📢 Emotional dysregulation (meltdowns, shutdowns, irritability, outbursts, depression, anxiety...) is NOT a behavior issue. And if you treat it like one, instead of solving the problem (whatever is actually causing the behavior), you'll end up making it much worse.

Meltdowns, shutdowns, irritability, outbursts... these are not "problem behaviors"... these are indications of UNMET NEEDS. You need to figure out what's CAUSING the behavior and then address THAT.
