Continuing to explore fractions @RHL_Inspire! Today, this small group explored 6 different sets of manipulatives. The coolest part? They started to organically make equivalent fractions AND discover adding fractions with unlike denominators. Now we have a foundation to build on!

All laughs today as students travelled around the room completing math questions at different stations. What was so funny? The fact that after every question we did a quick workout. The crab walk definitely brought out the giggles! @RHL_Inspire

We’ve been playing math games this week to consolidate what we’ve been learning over the past month together. I have never seen such quick thinking and mental math from my students! Time flies when you’re having fun *and still learning* @RHL_Inspire

@COYatRHL was a blast today! In our STEM session, we did various coding centres: Hour of Code, Cricut Design Space, Makey Makey, and Spheros. Tomorrow we will continue rotating through and trying new activities 😊 @RHL_Inspire

Small group time is an awesome way for us to really see how our Ss think. This week, we focused on multiplication. On day 1, they picked a # and turned it into equal groups. Today, they used rods to show equal multiplication sentences. So cool to see their learning! @RHL_Inspire
