The most important thing about testing season is my students knowing that they are so much more than any assessment makes them think they are.

So powerful to see students teaching students in writing small groups! So proud of these brilliant kiddos!

Joy is so important!

Today I took a DEEP breath and started to let the students organize our classroom library. It can take a lot to let go of control but it is so empowering for kids to own this work. This system needs to work for THEM, not for me. #sd735learns

Why yes, I am the nerdy teacher that goes through the first day of school slides on the TV. Thank goodness for tech savvy Mr. Lowery!

Part of our social justice club project is creating an art piece where the multitude of languages in our district are represented. I am SO proud of how this is coming along and how students have led this learning and project. AND we’re having so much fun 😊😊
