1/2C used loose parts to practice the steps of problem solving from our new classroom peace mat! They practiced sharing their feelings, coming up with solutions, and making sure both people were okay at the end. @beg_RETSD

Glow day is always one of my favourite days of the year! 1/2C did glow in the dark art, writing, and reading. We also wore glow in the dark vests and had a glow dance party! @beg_RETSD

We had a wonderful parent volunteer come in to teach us about Hanukkah! 1/2C absolutely loved learning to play dreidel. They wanted to play all day! @beg_RETSD

1/2C has been loving learning about Diwali, the festival of lights. Today, they created their own Rangoli! They worked so carefully to spread the coloured powder to make beautiful, colourful designs! @beg_RETSD

This week was all about being grateful. 1/2C thought of soooo many things to be thankful for! 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving! @beg_RETSD

All students honoured National Indigenous Peoples Day by participating in drumming, singing, art, games, mentorship and special presentations led by students. Thank you Mrs.Findlay @Nbfins31 for organizing and leading this beautiful day for our school community! @beg_RETSD

The 1/2s went to Assiniboine Park Zoo to spend the day learning about life cycles and exploring all of the animal habitats! We had the BEST day! @beg_RETSD

1/2A finished their stop-motion fairytale movies made from loose parts. We had a viewing party in the library! Their hard work deserved a big celebration! @beg_RETSD

Finishing up filming our stop motion and started adding in our audio yesterday. Our fairy tale scenes are looking amazing!

Today the 1/2s worked cooperatively on their setting backdrops AND created their main characters out of clay. We can’t wait to begin filming the stop-motion fairytales! @beg_RETSD

The 1/2s have been working so hard learning about fairytales, elements of a story, and loose parts. They are planning out how to retell their favourite fairytale with loose parts. Next step is to turn them into stop-motion movies with Mrs. Buchanan! @beg_RETSD

1/2A earned a glow party today for being respectful, responsible, safe, and sustainable. We made glow in the dark firework art, had a glow dance party, and used flashlights for a special in-the-dark Daily 5 time! @beg_RETSD
