Think about this –– teachers will need 180 hours to renew their teaching license so they can teach your kids, but only up to 24 hours of training to carry a gun around them. That is insane.

Seeing the huge waitlists on books people have been told not to read makes me realize we've been doing book displays all wrong. Instead of prominently visible "Staff Recommendations," just hide books in the corner in a box marked DON'T TOUCH, DANGEROUS and watch the circs soar.

@TeachMrReed Very true, especially when I see who admin continually targets, suspends, disciplines, etc.

Some of y’all police your Students of Color the same way as these cops, just without the badge and the gun. Seeing them as a threat, punishing them without just cause, etc. Same stuff, just inside of a school.
