Introducing the Manatee Fan Cam. 🎥😊 Over Thanksgiving break, I went to a @FlaPanthers game where I saw their Panthers Fan Cam. Go Cats! 😼 After seeing how cool this was, it inspired me to take that idea home and create something for our @ManateeCCPS school news! I spent all Thanksgiving break reverse-engineering, building, and polishing what we're now calling our Manatee Fan Cam. 🎥 On December 1st, we switched our school news from being pre-recorded to a live system. This was necessary so teachers & staff could scan a QR code that would let them join and be featured in our school news! This has made it more interactive, engaging, and fun. Our kids and staff have loved it so much, even the front office & our YRD jumped in on the fun this morning 💛! It's also just hilarious getting to see the kids get super excited and jump around when they're on screen! 🤣 Rather than just allowing them to see themselves, I took it a step further and built a trivia system into it. Today, at @ManateeCCPS , the hottest new breakthrough band MANATEE MAYHEM stopped by this morning to perform their latest hit at our Turkey Trot today! 🎸⚡️ Dr. Thunderstruck, Vice Viper, Number Slayer, Harmony Havoc, & Literati stopped by for a quick promo video! 👀 🤘🏻

@ManateeCCPS' school news has a segment done by our students sports anchor that covers game scores, which was introduced in the first semester of school. We call this segment Marley Sports! 🏈 We introduced this because our students love watching our school news, they think it's real life tv. @MsPapworthMES & I are always trying to innovate and keep students entertained and one of the ways we did this was introducing a sports segment which we call "Marley Sports" for all of our student athletes! We added a 3rd grade student, James S., to our news crew, as our permanent student anchor and throughout this @NFL football season, has been covering scores weekly. Keeping all of our "sports fans" entertained and caught up. 👏🏻 With the Super Bowl being the grand finale of what started all of this, @MsPapworthMES & I talked and we wanted to do something fun, exciting, and different for the entire school for always showing love with our news and Marley Sports. 💓 I quickly designed something up that morning and we held a school-wide competition to see which student, and staff member, could predict what the final score would be! See a more detailed explanation below in the replies of this tweet. 👇🏻 Well the @Chiefs vs @Eagles game has now taken place, instead of giving our student anchor, James, his normal 1 minute segment just talking about the score... we sent him out with a 5 minute segment this time around. James spoke about the scores, family submitted pictures, prediction winners, and so much more! 😱 I stayed up until 2:00 AM last night designing all the graphics for his segment to send James out with a huge finale. Our staff & students absolutely loved his segment today, he was so excited to go home and show his mom the news!
