I hope you enjoy your visit. Others have told me that they have got their copy of the Galson book from @UllapoolB as they waited for the ferry. 😏

@krenitsele ahh i don't really do instagram, guess i am missing out on the meme fun
English

@krenitsele ahaha, wonderful. i want to make more arboriculture memes now. maybe we should start a hashtag
English

@eleanormharris this thread articulates it really well - i remember also finding it a much more rewarding process than i expected - well done :)
English

@mariaelenactq matilda agrees, she says eat the rich and solidarity with all striking industries

English

@nevstokes @M_sideSchoolMus @CllrScottArthur aha, that is a much better idea than what i imagined, cheers
English

@MsTreeRa @M_sideSchoolMus @CllrScottArthur I’m assuming that this proposal is regarding the South Suburban Railway and not reverting the NEPN, etc. for example. The idea isn’t a new one: thinkscotland.org/2020/11/the-so…

@tomkimmerer @doterrascience doterra are a MLM with predatory and unethical marketing practices that ruin lives and should be illegal
English

@FlyingQuercus yeah, it's kinda self-deprecating. quite British i suppose
English

@MsTreeRa I agree. It also draws attention to the amount of already accumulated ado.
English

@DA_Anderson @CllrScottArthur @Holledge @andyheald @TreesforCities @EdinburghTrees @EdinburghTrams definitely not the highest number of trees per capita in the UK, our canopy cover is about 17% which isn't low but isn't high either. Edinburgh has about 712,000 trees and population of 548,000, compare with Milton Keynes which has half the people but over 20 million trees
English

BEST SEAT on the TRAM: Helsinki Line Number 6. See the trees! @andyheald @TreesforCities @EdinburghTrees @EdinburghTrams @MsTreeRa @DA_Anderson @CllrScottArthur
English

@Holledge @JackRMCaldwell @andyheald this sounds nice, the leaves do tend to be full of litter though, would be quite a filtering process. but keeping leaves on the site where they fell would definitely be good
English

@JackRMCaldwell I think leaves are/should be composted, rather than 'recycled' (!). Edinburgh parks could include composters. The resulting compost can be used to improve the earth in the parks. FYI @andyheald @MsTreeRa

English

Pilrig Park a bit less slippy now 🍂🍃
However it's frustrating unable to recycle leaves since I'd need a brown bin subscription - not ideal for those of us in flats!
You can request CEC path clearances via edinburgh.gov.uk/report

English

@MsTreeRa Beetroot, carrots and sugar snap peas (+ olive oil, yoghurt, garlic, thyme, parsley, tarragon, mayonnaise) — albeit with "young' turnips — is Nigel Slater's suggestion.

English

@MsTreeRa Use some to mash with parsnips and celery root-similar to mashed potatoes except they are far less dense with more dynamic flavor.
