@SharonAstyk It’s at labcorp?! Quest too?! It’s not a special subtyping test. The subtyping is requested in instruction by CDC for all Flu A+ folks. Was the facility out of test strips? We’ve had that here.

FYI, I am aware of an Ohio Vet with livestock exposure who has flu, along with her spouse, kids and elderly parents. They sought to get subtyped due to the risk factors of being a Vet, and were told not a chance unless someone was dying. So we aren't great at this.

@mannis_chris @SaskiaPopescu Fed probation periods also happen when you are promoted, switched internally to another division, etc. it’s different from the private sector. Many are multi-year. And the whole success path for your govt career is built around advancements and placement in new depts.

@LazarusLong13 @solodoc It would be SO cool (and easy!), esp with those namebadge machines now, to make a little card after every appointment w diagnoses, meds list, primary doc and pharmacy, lab results, emergency contact, blood type etc. Quick action from bipartisan folks the min we pointed it out.
