A maximum of 5 weeks left before I go on mat leave number 3. All sorts of teacher guilt and mum guilt rolling around as well as thoughts about what this will mean for my own career too. Sometimes life leads you down a path you didn’t expect!

Why are climate graphs so difficult to teach? I swear it doesn't matter how carefully I model on the visualiser, chunk, provide success criteria, anticipate errors, etc., students still seem to make a plethora of mistakes. Every time. #geographyteacher

@Emma_Turner75 It’s definitely a fine balance. My daughter is a talented swimmer and swim lessons in y5 allowed her to be in the top group for the first time in her school life.

I’m a huge advocate for swimming but I don’t think the logistical, financial and timetabling headaches that schools are facing in trying to source suitable accessible and local swimming opportunities can be underestimated. Pools closing, transport costs rocketing. So difficult.
