I would like to live in a high-trust society.
The decline of trust is something worth caring about, and reversing it is something worth doing.
We should not have to live constantly wondering if we're being lied to or scammed. Trust should be possible again.

Covid showed us we could slow down, work different, care for each other, rethink everything. We had one rare chance to build a life that was less cruel, less exhausting, less centered around grinding people into dust.
Instead we sprinted right back into burnout, greed, higher costs, worse mental health, and pretending this is normal.
That’s what makes me angry. We learned nothing.

I fear we’re all sleep at the wheel when it comes advocating against ai en masse.
Whether you use it or don’t use it, there’s enough negative impacts on the horizon that at bare minimum people should be fighting for regulation at minimum.

It drastically weakens the argument when you very visibly do not have an in-depth knowledge of what you’re critiquing.

echo-chamber of ai naysayers who also dont use or have had limited interaction with it and therefore can’t have an informed opinion based on capabilities.
You can however, stand on your ethics.

One conclusion I’ve come to is that people who have an ethical stance against AI usage should stick to rooting their opposition in ethics, not capabilities.
