Thank you to all the students & staff for buying donuts for our Light it Up Blue for Autism Awareness. We raised $333 for Family Respite Services. A special thank you to Tim Horton's (6605 Tec. Rd: Chris, Jessie and their team) for helping us with our donation. @RosevillePSWind

@khadijahgill24 @EY_uwindsor @Ahrabi_T @ms_moscrip Love how exciting yet simple it is to set up a water table for students to engage with. Not only is it a great sensory experience for students, but also an opportunity for some math and science chat as well!

Outdoor play is a foundation in a child's social, cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Helps to develop motor skills like coordination and balance. What learning activities have you done outside of the classroom? ☀️☁️🌳 @EY_uwindsor @Ahrabi_T @Ms_TDoan @ms_moscrip

Loose parts are a must for Early Years. Not only are they great for exercising creativity, but they also help promote fine motor skills, mathematical thinking, spatial awareness and MORE! These books by Lisa Daly and Miriam Beloglovsky are a great place to start. 📚 @EY_uwindsor

Wow! Sometimes we forget that numbers are an abstract concept. What a great way to develop one-to-one correspondence. @EY_uwindsor

We are continuing to explore graphing with loose parts. No need for worksheets to represent their thinking and understanding 😊

The abundance of smiles at this weekend’s #earlyyearscarousel truly solidified the importance of community and engaging families in the learning experience. What are other ways educators can ensure that families remain key partners throughout students’ learning? @EY_uwindsor

@Miss_Faubert @EY_uwindsor @joanne_pizzuto @DrDSuzukiSchool @ms_moscrip @GeorgeT88991872 @ElizabethKulyk @sarah_bjulius I love that it is truly student centred. Nothing is more exciting than watching your students’ faces light up when you take a moment to integrate what they’re genuinely curious about into your teaching!

@ms_moscrip @EY_uwindsor @GraceGasparini @khadijahgill24 I love being outdoors! There is so much to observe, wonder and learn from just a simple walk around the neighborhood.

In Early Years play-based learning and allowing students to explore are the main methods for learning. What is your favourite activity to do with early year students to facilitate their learning and foster their curiosity? @EY_uwindsor @GraceGasparini @Ms_TDoan @khadijahgill24

@GraceGasparini @khadijahgill24 @ms_moscrip A fun activity is grabbing free paint swatches from the hardware store and having students find things in nature to match the colours! This is great for when flowers start to pop up! 🌷🌻🍀🌲

What kinds of Spring activities/provocations would be engaging and beneficial for the coming placement session? What do you think? 🌸🌼🌿🌱@khadijahgill24 @Ms_TDoan @ms_moscrip

This is such a great idea that can easily be translated into Early Years. With Spring coming, we could create a viewer to spot the signs of seasons changing. The possibilities are endless!! #letsgetoutside @EY_uwindsor

Hey Teachers! 🔍☁️ Did you know that having students create their own cloud viewers with a cardboard window can spark their creativity and love for nature? It's a fun and engaging activity that encourages them to observe and appreciate the beauty of the sky! *Recycle & Play
