@IEBCKenya has announced that everyone registered before 2012 must register again. The chairman says the old list is not valid.I have one question. Just one. How did we elect three presidents? I was on that list. I voted. My vote was counted. A government was formed. Laws were passed. Taxes were collected. My taxes specifically were collected very efficiently and professionally without anyone questioning the validity of my registration. The tax people had no problem finding me before 2012. After 2012, the tax people have never once asked me to reregister. The tax people @KRACorporate know exactly where I am at all times. @IEBCKenya does not know I exist yet I have been voting even after 2012. KRA has never forgotten me for a single financial year since 1989. So the votes were valid enough to form governments but not valid enough to remain on a list. The taxes collected by those governments were however fully valid. This is a very specific kind of mathematics that I did not study in school. The Good Wife was registered in 2004. She has voted in every election. She has been paying taxes in every election. She has now been told she does not exist on the list. She exists on the KRA list. Fully. Completely.
