What happened on both sides was bad. Bombing of Pearl Harbor and the atomic bombs. But I’ve never held it against anyone. They feel guilty about Pearl Harbor and I and others feel guilty about the atomic bombs. I wasn’t alive then so I can’t say how I would have felt about it. I think putting the American citizens of Japanese decent in camps wasn’t a good thing either. The whole war is a scar on the whole world. It’s a lesson that needs to be remembered and never repeated.

Those are two completely different things Fred Trump (Donald's dad) was born in New York in 1905. HIS father, Friedrich had already been an American citizen since 1892.
