What could get interesting is how many LCS out there that are going to get screwed or worse. I spoke to my local dealer last week that sent in a lot of scrap that he bought when spot was high 2 months ago that still had not been settled yet from the refiner. The refiners are taking longer than normal because there’s so much supply waiting to melt.

Today’s gold and silver dump looks less like stackers quitting and more like paper traders getting carried out. Gold hit a 4-month low. Silver got crushed back to mid-December levels. Stronger dollar, rising rate-hike fears, and forced liquidation are all hitting at once. Translation: the weak hands are selling, the leveraged are bleeding, and the patient are watching. When paper pukes, physical gets cheaper. That’s when conviction gets tested. You folding here or loading up?

@RichardCabezza If you bought at the peak I feel sorry for you. The signs were there right in front of us though. When refiners stopped buying sterling and 99% was the biggest indication the market was too frothy.
