With AWACS support and blind lobbying of multiple BVR missiles, you can absolutely push aircraft into defensive But at long ranges, especially with L-band/S-band tracking, angular error accumulation becomes so big that missile lands kilometres away. Detection ≠ fire-control quality track. And beyond a point, you are not scoring perfect kills shot after shot after shot. Missile seeker can correct only in certain limit (it is ku band and battery powered) Cheers.
