The sad part of all this is that Idd Amin had this housing project in plan 45 years ago. He was planning to put houses to accomodate the middle class people along Kawempe road, mostly those who would struggle to find rent. But its not too late, the government of Uganda can start today… kubba ssente wezilli.

Earlier today in Mukono, a boda boda rider approached me and asked that I raise his concern. He spoke about the many people being pushed off the streets without any guidance on where they can relocate or work from, noting that most cannot afford rent. He believes this is contributing to the rise in crime. He was deeply worried and asked: how can government fix this?

Ugandan Banks & other brands, please take notes from NCBA on TikTok, the app isn’t for posting your stiff product artwork and calling it content 😭 Let’s break out of this traditional, stagnant way of building brands online. Social media isn’t a noticeboard, it’s a conversation. Show up with meaning. Bring personality. Be entertaining. Be human. Because right now? The brands that are winning aren’t the most corporate; they’re the most relatable… And relatability varies across different platform. Social media aside; be sustainable.👏

@BesigyeKeith1 @bamwinejnr It seems you underestimate the power of advertising Yes you may not be one of them but there are many who don't have bank accounts, & those ones are most likely to choose NCBA becoz of TikTok Our human nature will always choose what we've either heard of or seen

She is the President of the @WLCongress. She begged for “the liberators” to go to her country and save them from their government by deposing it. Much like you see some dollar and award chasing “human rights activists” do here in East Africa. They’re all under her wing, BTW. Her own people now call her a traitor, the liberators are slaughtering them and threatening nuclear annihilation. Our Ugandan activists won’t take the lessons. Look at their posts from the WLC in Berlin (last year) and watch for more this year. Totally clueless #OutrageMerchants!

Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

Mr. President, @realDonaldTrump The Islamic Republic is a terrorist regime. It has made one thing brutally clear: the lives of its own people mean nothing to it. It kills them. Then it demands money from their families to return their bodies. And if those families dare to grieve, dare to demand justice, they are threatened with gang rape and then arrested. For years, I have said clearly: the Islamic Republic is not a normal government. It is a terrorist occupying force that will only respond to strength and decisive pressure. But with the reported 48-hour ultimatum regarding the Strait of Hormuz, I feel a moral and patriotic duty to issue a critical warning: Targeting Iran’s power plants and civilian infrastructure does not weaken the regime. It punishes the Iranian people. A nationwide blackout in Iran would hand the regime exactly what it wants, a propaganda victory. The IRGC thrives on blaming foreign enemies for the suffering it has created, redirecting public anger away from itself. It would also put millions of civilians at risk. Power outages mean hospitals shut down, water systems fail, and ordinary people who are already struggling under extreme economic pressure are pushed further into crisis. And it would weaken the very people standing up to this regime. A population fighting for basic survival in darkness and desperation has far less capacity to organize, protest, and resist. If the goal is deterrence or disabling the regime, then the target set must be clear and precise: IRGC command centers, missile infrastructure, and the regime’s security and repression apparatus. Disable the regime’s war machine, not the lives of the Iranian people. The Islamic Republic has held Iran hostage for decades. At this critical moment, do not allow it to use our national infrastructure as a shield for its survival. The objective must be the liberation of Iran, not its destruction. #Iran💔

I like how this unpopular opinion has hit pseudo intellectuals. Clearly, You’re comparing things that aren’t ethically equivalent. Vaccines and school are necessary tied to a child’s immediate welfare. Circumcision is a permanent, non-essential surgical change to someone else’s body. The point you missed in this discussion is bodily autonomy - you don’t remove healthy parts from a person who can’t consent unless it’s medically necessary. Preventive “what if” arguments don’t justify irreversible procedures. That is why, immunization is mandatory globally and circumcision is not. No country can hold individuals legally responsible for refusing circumcision, its benefits notwithstanding - autonomy is the point. On the contrary, individuals are held liable for refusing essential vaccinations. Also, drop the condescension. It doesn’t make your point stronger —it just shows you’re avoiding the real question.
Dr Solomon Kimera@Solo_MDofficial

The same head that commends vaccinating and taking these minors to kindergarten (without their consent), is here rebuking actions aimed at preventing UTIs, balanitis, cancer of penis etc, in these same minors, apparently because they haven’t consented! Abazadde muwelere abaana!🤧

When I was contacted to help fundraise for Norah Atuhire, my immediate feeling was that I am not doing any other fundraising any time soon. I’m overwhelmed by appeals, and I can only do so much. But today, when I met the lady spearheading the attempt to save Norah’s life, I was deeply touched and had to come here to appeal to your kindness. Norah, a primary teacher and single mother of two, is suffering from a strange disease called Lupus Erythematosus. The disease turns the body against itself, and it fights its own immunity (in lay terms). That is how it deformed Norah from her original self to look like this and suffer excruciating pain. While the disease cannot be cured, she can be treated to get back to normal life with much less pain. The medication to take her back to ‘normal’ is expensive, but we can help her in which ever way we can, They’re looking for about $4,000. See numbers on flyer. NB: Photos shared with her full permission

@SamsonMKasumba For as long as impunity is still in the DNA Of our leaders then this far away from being realized It's like saying those who took 1M PDM must pay back & they here that the money the president gave to musicians was used & never paid back & no one was held accountable😂

I was walking in central London years ago and a man in-front of me dropped used bubble gum. In a flash, two people closed in on him and asked him to pick it up and he with shame picked it up. Kampala is like this because there is no interest in its cleanliness by the very people who live and work in Kampala. The day we start to hold each other accountable for this nonsense no one will drop this refuse and walk away. We shall start to tell each other off and in the end Kampala will be clean. You simply can NOT drop refuse anymore anywhere in Kigali. Police or not, the residents will “manage” you themselves!

@Ksheebah1 @kirya_ug @YkeeBenda So what you mean is, an artist should pay radio to promote their songs & after radio pays you for playing the same songs, Kindly help me understand

@kirya_ug @YkeeBenda Kilya my dear , If great music always found people on its own, promotion wouldn’t exist. But the biggest artists in the world still invest in pushing their music. There’s a reason for that.

Ugandan musicians invest millions producing music and shooting videos, yet we still have to pay radio stations, TV stations and bloggers just to promote our own work. Clause 9 of the Copyright Amendment simply guarantees that when our music is played, artists are paid. If Clause 9 is removed, then this amendment defeats its purpose and the creative industry will continue bleeding. I call upon all musicians to speak up and defend our rights. To government, we ask for fairness. It’s time to do the right thing. #Clause9 #ProtectUgandanMusic

@estonluwedde @AllanSseky 1 they were at a charity match for Jayden (busomyo boy) 2. Is there any law that prohibits people from posting their kids on social media? It's so absurd that people are doing that to the young girl but I really doubt that the government can put a stop to this.

Your rhetoric & double standards are not only unfortunate but also nauseating, to say the least. If u cant comprehend the role Uganda has played in stabilizing the region ( from Sudan to Somalia) by averting the most complex human catastrophies, then u are either lost or being pretentious. Our leader, President @KagutaMuseveni can offer u free lessons on how the efforts of Uganda have indeed stabilized the region & even helped to fight your own country's wars like in Somalia.@adoniaayebare @kasujja @ChrisOMagezi

Uganda has shifted from a reliable security partner to an exporter of brutality. This evidence should kickstart a reassessment of our bilateral relationship. The Admin has implemented serious repercussions for those committing atrocities in South Sudan and this is no different. apnews.com/article/south-…
