We are inherently very outdoorsy- which is one the many reason why we love Japan. It extraordinarily pedestrian friendly.

I know a married couple who live in same society as I do. Both work from home, with a combined package of over 60 - 70 lakhs. Have a car but hardly go out. Have a pet dog and full-time house help. Rarely go out thanks to Blinkit, Swiggy, UrbanClap, etc. They take one foreign trip every 3-4 months. This is the new lifestyle that many urban couples are living today - either inside a gated society or a flight abroad.

‘18 year old die after taking pills to delay her period for a puja’ - reminds me of my mom; she took pills to delay her periods for a Puja and apparently it never came back. The doctor said she had attained ‘menopause’. Don’t know where to begin-the regressive society that doesn’t allow menstruating women into temples or the parents that conform to it.

@Mukherjee_daaaa I have myself been barred from entering a temple after a priest saw a stain on my pants when I was 13-14 years old. My father got extremely angry and we left. Same happened with many of my friends.
