@eobraonain@philipnolan1@mark_gummer If you’re being overtaken on the inside you’re in the wrong lane. Not saying it’s right, but this is what happens when people hog the middle lane. Happens more in Ireland than anywhere else I’ve seen. Even worse than the UK and it’s pretty widespread there.
British exceptionalism in one tweet. It hasn't even crossed poor Mark's mind there might be motorways of the same names in other countries. @mark_gummer
@IrishTimesOpEd@NewtonEmerson You rehash this on a regular basis. Would’ve thought there were more interesting things to write about with a UK election in a few weeks.
@samwarburton_@TimesSport Love the way Sam posits that this is the best thing for club rugby. It is the best thing for Welsh club rugby. The only issue is that it is not in anyone else's interest. Why would the English clubs share their TV money with 4 regions who will offer little or no competition?
Amazing that only 4 of the 33 selected for theIreland Squad at the World Rugby Championship come from Ulster! There are other Ulster players who deserved to be included!
The Irish Gov, the US administration, all of the Northern Ireland political parties, Westminster opposition parties, and victims groups are against the UK Gov's legacy proposals.
@MarkCarruthers7 asks NI Minister Lord Caine who backs the plan?
@IrishTimesSport Jesus wept! This guy calls himself a rugby journalist? England did now win the RWC in 2015, they didn't even make it past the first round. Ireland played France at home in 2009 as you cannot play Wales and France away in the same year. This is simple stuff. Dreadful!
@Gordon15@InsiderRte@daraobriain I presume you know Britain uses green because Gordon Bennett had to run his international race in Ireland many years ago because it was banned in Britain? Plus blue, (France), white, (Germany), and red, (Italy), had already been taken?
Congratulations to Terenure College students Odhrán Curran - 5th Year, Ben Carroll - TY and Cillian Daly - 1st Year who all won Distinguished Delegate awards at Blackrock Model United Nations Conference (ROCKMUN) this weekend.
@TheLastLeg We say nil-all in Ireland too. I said it in a pub in England when I first got there and got the same reaction that it should be nil-nil. Still amazed that one-all, two-all, etc., is OK, but nil-all is a source of incredulity. 🤷🏼♂️
