@hon_wamuchomba And why can't there be development anywhere in Kenya without licking the Presidents @s+? That's what we are fighting for. Equity & devpt nationwide regardless of political affiliation. You have chosen to sleep with the nemesis out of your own volition. One term!

The currency of politics is INTERESTS. Stop the mafeelings! If RUTO is delivering for my people what they want ; he qualifys to be supported to finish . Im NOT an MP for Kenyans ; im an Mp for Githunguri constituency only . Clapping for Me as i Shout wantam on car rooftops doesnt complete Mau mau Roads or install electricity. It only hypes emotions. Do emotions construct Roads ? Construct markets? I will support President Ruto to complete my projects of Interests. Kazi kwanza ! #The Duchess of Githunguri.

@OCTOPIZZO @DimaDonald1 Octo made many Kenyans know about Kibera & he did it proudly. He’s a resident that knows all the challenges in his community and already he has done well with his musical influence to help in his own small way. I see him doing bigger things as an MP! Vote #OCTO #MPKIBRA #2027

This is becoming monotonous now @DimaDonald1 Let me ask you something first, what exactly do we have in common besides a microphone at some point in our lives? Artistically? Different lanes. Different journeys. Different messages. Being an “entertainer” is not a political ideology. It’s a profession. Just like being a lawyer or a teacher. You judge leadership by systems built, not by former job titles. Character-wise? I can’t speak for other grown men. I can only speak for myself. My track record has always been rooted in social commentary, youth dignity, structural inequality, and community organizing ,long before any ballot paper. My work has consistently addressed governance, poverty, and accountability. That’s documented. Geographically? Kibera is not a stage to visit for relevance. It is home. I was raised here. My understanding of this constituency is lived, not outsourced. And respectfully, we also need to stop flattening people into one category called “celebrities.” That’s lazy analysis. The real question isn’t “Was he an artist?” The real question is: • Does he understand policy? • Does he understand systems? • Does he have a record of organizing beyond cameras? • Is he accountable to the community or to clout? The ballot is not a talent show. It’s a leadership contract. #KibraRising

@OCTOPIZZO I've seen Kenyan entertainers become politicians thinking they'll come with different approaches and change the society but to no avail, akina Jaguar, Jalang'o and co did and are doing absolutely nothing with that power

First off, let’s clear the fog on "5 years" in the context of the Kenyan Constitution. Article 142 of the Constitution speaks to the presidential term: “A person shall hold office as President for a term beginning on the date of their swearing-in… and ending on the date of the swearing-in of the next President.” This is a 5-year term, but it’s not counting calendar years. It’s counting constitutional years based on election dates. Now, about your question: From 9th August 2022 to 11th August 2026 doesn't amount to 5 calendar years, but that's not how we compute time for elections under the Constitution. Under Article 259(5)(c), time is computed by complete years, counting from the day after the event that marks the start of the period. So let’s apply that: Year 1: 10th August 2022 – 9th August 2023 Year 2: 10th August 2023 – 9th August 2024 Year 3: 10th August 2024 – 9th August 2025 Year 4: 10th August 2025 – 9th August 2026 Year 5: 10th August 2026 – 9th August 2027 The second Tuesday in August 2026 is 11th August 2026—and that falls in the fifth year, as per Article 136(2)(a), which mandates elections be held in the fifth year, not after five years. So, to answer your question directly: From 9th August 2022 to 11th August 2026 is part of the fifth year, not the full five years you’re imagining. This is how the law works. The Constitution doesn’t follow your calendar or arbitrary definitions of time , it follows constitutional time computation. The second Tuesday in August 2026? That’s your election day.

The 5th year begins on 9th August 2026. That’s because the 2022 general election was held on 9th August 2022. So constitutionally: 9 Aug 2022 – 8 Aug 2023 = Year 1 9 Aug 2023 – 8 Aug 2024 = Year 2 9 Aug 2024 – 8 Aug 2025 = Year 3 9 Aug 2025 – 8 Aug 2026 = Year 4 9 Aug 2026 – 8 Aug 2027 = Year 5 Article 136(2)(a) requires that elections be held in the fifth year, not after it. So the earliest Tuesday in that 5th year is Tuesday, 11th August 2026. That’s your constitutional election date. Anything later is term extension through trickery—and it’s unconstitutional.

Grief. Unending grief. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. How do you cope? At the beginning of the year l lost important friendships because of betrayal. Deep, murderous betrayal. I Iost two businesses that l had invested so heavily, and the relationships that came with it. Lost comrades in the streets protests. I attended the most funerals l have ever attended in my entire life, and l can still smell the stench of bodies rotting at City mortuary. Lost a court case because you know how corrupt Kenya is, at least we are appealing. An important partnership ended and wasn’t renewed. l had to lay off 14 people. I was injured in the June protests on my left arm and when it was almost healing, it was injured again as the police tried to abduct me last week. Because of the stress, the body just decides to break down. I have been hospitalized once this year, and in and out of hospital like 7 times in 2024. The doctors can’t find anything wrong. The cure is rest. How do you rest when calls and messages of people needing help don’t stop even when you’re going through the worst? l still have to try and help. Even with all that happening l still have to be human, husband, dad, friend, boss, still do movement work, pay the fucking bills. The emotional, and physical toll of my body living in a continuous state of alertness because of abductions, and stress is too much. If it’s not state intimidation, it’s paid trolls on X who are now on retainer to attack me almost every day. Sometimes l ask God do all the bad things that happened this year, had to happen consecutively? It’s just too much. I need more grace, rest, and good health. Happy New Month.

From the Sam Gituku - Citizen TV interview, Gachagua can make a good president since he's not a dynasty and corrupt. He understands what Kenyans want since he comes from a humble background, and he doesn't take alcohol. Should we vote for Riggy G to become the president in 2027?

I want to talk to all musicians in Kenya. Have you realized that right now its very difficult to produce a hit song if its not about bad governance and corruption? Yes. The mood of the nation is that we need change. Crazy Kennar did a video recently and it has 46Million views on instagram alone. Because it was about corruption and bad governance. It is time for you to match the mood of the nation. All revolutions in history were catalyzed by works of art and music. We don't want to hear songs about love, breakups, drugs, gangsters etc. That's not our mood. You need to start playing an active role in the revolution. During the GenZ protests you did well. Especially showing up in the streets and performing at the concerts. But after that you have gone silent. Tell us where you stand. Are you playing safe? Are you depressedwith the state of the nation? Are you waiting for the mood to change?
