NEW: 🇮🇱 🇵🇸 NBA Star Kyrie Irving has changed his 20M follower Instagram profile pic to a photo of Palestinian children defiantly studying in front of the razor wire and Israeli soldiers that prevent them from going to school.
Legend. 👏🏼

Decades ago, my father used to feed about 100 people every single day. Our home wasn’t just a house, our kitchen felt like a ministry. We had nearly 50 cooks working every morning, preparing breakfast that could feed at least a hundred people, and the same effort went into lunch and dinner.
In the mornings, it was always something warm and comforting, masa, kosai, moi moi, yam, or chinchin, served with fresh, consistent kunu. We were about 20 in the house, so once our portion was set aside and brought inside, the rest was taken out to the compound. Anyone could walk in and eat, neighbors, passersby, strangers. Our doors were always open.
Afternoons came with rice, spaghetti, or other meals, and nights were for swallow with different soups. A 50kg bag of rice wouldn’t last a week, and meat was never scarce, there was a cow slaughtered almost every day. To this day, we still can’t even estimate how much he spent monthly just feeding us and the entire neighborhood.
Even when the economy got worse, the giving never stopped, it only became quieter, done little by little, but still consistent.
That’s one legacy I carry with pride. And after his passing, it’s a tradition I’m determined to keep alive.
