It looks like the 78 broke something between the transaxle and the suspension upright, possibly a control arm or maybe a half shaft which eventually caused further suspension damage.
Watch the sparks when we slow down this view and you'll see the parts rubbing.

Heartbreaking in the iRacing Daytona 500.
Led 23 of the final 25 laps, but got split middle 3 for some reason with only 3 cars on the top and ended up finishing p13.
