After 20 years of no much work done I think it’s relevant to revisit and then extend to industry. everyone welcome to visit at any time UWA where all work in progress is underway.

Our audits show a 25 maturity of co2 capture if put to trees. Then they flatline or lose if bushfire strikes

@ClynelishFarm Isn't it the case that if you took the cows out of the system, the CO2 capture would still take place, therefore it shouldn't be included? Obviously that depends on the alternative land use.

@westwills3_bill @ClynelishFarm The methane also contributes to the plant to trigger more photosynthesis. Grazed areas metabolise more than ungrazed. Much research around this fact. No where in nature do plants exist without animals. Nor should our farming systems.

@ClynelishFarm Isn’t the problem that methane is 25x as potent as co2 as a greenhouse gas and takes approximately 12 years to break down to co2 & h2o in the atmosphere though? Happy to be corrected, as I like a steak as much as anyone!

A reminder to the farmers out there. A fertilizer spreader works best when the spinners AND feed belt are BOTH on. Also, the tracks and road between the fert shed and paddock don’t really need a narrow and concentrated band of urea/mop 🤦🏻‍♂️ #averagefarmerawards

@danking265 Truetest scales. We use our lambox that has loadcells already and put a tray on top for fleece. Sheep tag scanned with stick reader prints a barcode on ticket Ticket stays with fleece and is scanned at scales to reference animal.scanner is USB plugs into scale head.

Can wool producers that fleece weigh please shed a bit of light on how you do it

I yearn for small auto machines on one of the worst obstacle ridden farms around. Running section control seeder here with 3m sections and often most are off. Too much dead running.

@bjw68 We did 25mm through sheds 32mm under ground for the long runs. Pipes make a big reserve tank. Put a water trap at compressor end too.
