Rothbard’s weakest take doesn’t refute libertarianism, though. It proves libertarians shouldn’t treat any thinker as if they’re scripture. The case for liberty isn’t “be selfish.” It’s that charity, family, community, and duty mean more when they’re chosen freely - not performed at gunpoint by the state. That’s it.

I used to be a libertarian and thought the world revolves around me, the individual. Then I became a parent and nothing revolves around me anymore.

It's not even that I don't believe you. I have no reason to believe you. You spent years viciously (and correctly) pointing out how the Ukraine war was NOT America First. Only to pivot for no explicable reason.
So, the only question is. How does the Ukraine war benefit Israel?
At this point that's the only reason I can imagine you would flip like this.
For the rest of us the mission remains the same. No more foreign wars. Focus on America.

Maybe people don’t believe me, that’s fine, but visiting Ukraine has been deeply touching for me. It has opened my eyes to things I was blinded to before and has really impacted the way I view human suffering and how I perceive humanity and threats to US national security. My time in Ukraine has been life changing. I’m never going to forget this and I’m interested in seeing what else it inspires me to do and report on in the future. You’ll have to travel to Ukraine yourself and see it yourself to understand what I am talking about. Never thought I’d say this. But, I see why Lindsey Graham loved Ukraine so much. I see it now.

I think the sudden death of Lindsey Graham deeply affected President Trump. When someone younger than you, who you just spoke to, is suddenly gone, your mind starts asking questions it never bothered to ask before.
And Trump doesn't just live in a normal political bubble. He lives in a world where millions cheer him, millions criticize him, and professional teams work around the clock just to keep him alive.
When you've survived assassination attempts by mere centimeters, and the threats extend to your entire family, mortality stops being an abstract concept. It becomes a daily companion.
