Biggest thing: if Cincy wins 28 games, Big 12 regular season and tournament titles, the Bearcats won’t be a 9-seed. That’s the easiest answer to this equation.

So my point stands UC has struggled to win in power conferences. They now a have total of like 12 years as a sample size and very little success

Toward the end they were making BE title games, Sweet 16, etc. Then they got kicked to the curb. Small sample size. It was only 8 years.

If I recall they had like 2 decent seasons and the rest of the time there they were bottom feeders. And yeah, they're good at the mid major level where their resources far exceed the rest of their conference.

The idea here is that Calhoun can coach. They did fine in the Big East. At the time it was far an away the best conference in America and they competed every year
